What is Mud Gun?

Mud gun is a special tool to prevent mud sedimentation in drilling mud circulation system. Mud gun power source can be mud pump or jet mixed pump. It is generally used in combination with a high-power sand pump or a shear pump, mainly to prevent the mud from sedimenting in the drilling mud tank.

Mud guns have high and low pressure points. High-pressure guns are used by the drilling pump to discharge the tributaries to supply liquid with a pressure level of 1 to 6 MPa. The low-pressure gun is supplied by a centrifugal sand pump and the pressure level is 0.2 to 0.3 MPa. How much should be configured depends on the number of stirrers.

The use of mud guns:

First, the high-speed liquid generated by the gun nozzle impacts the bottom of the drilling fluid storage tank to make it suspended; Second, when the agitator is stopped for a period of time, the deposited solid phase buries the impeller and needs to be reactivated, the drilling fluid gun can work. Eliminate part of the resistance moment when the stirrer starts, which provides a reliable guarantee for the normal operation of the stirrer.
