What Are The Forms Of Solid Control Equipment Desander?

The Solids Control System Desander is a secondary Solid Control Equipment for treating drilling mud, which can separate solid particles between 45 and 74 microns. There are two main types of sand remover: one is a filter or a screen type sand remover; the other is a gravity type sand remover, including a jet sand remover, a cyclone desander, and a simple settling vessel.

First, the cyclone desander

Swirl desilters have been widely used in oil extraction and oil and gas gathering and transportation processes in the United States and Russia. It consists mainly of a cyclone and a storage tank connected below. Under the action of centrifugation, the crude oil production liquid stream of water and sand is separated according to the density of different components, the light components are discharged through the oil discharge pipe, and heavy components such as sand and free water flow into the storage tank and are periodically discharged. There is a small portion of oil and emulsion in the upper part of the sand and water in the tank, which is sent to the drain pipe through the oil drain pipe and the oil drain valve.

Second, the filter separation sand remover

The sand remover is horizontal. The baffle plate is installed at the inlet end to prevent the fluid from directly impacting the filter element and to facilitate the separation of the sand. The outlet has a function of preventing liquid vaporization and avoids a decrease in filtration efficiency caused by liquid vaporization. When the desilter is stressed due to blockage or other reasons, the pressure controller can open the control valve so that the drilling fluid cannot flow into the desilter.

Third, tubular sand remover

The Gulf of Mexico oil field sand removal system consists of two outlet sand removal equipment, one installed at the water outlet of the low pressure separator and the other assembled at the oil outlet for sand removal. The separated solids are collected, dehydrated, and then transported to a processing unit for thorough dewatering and treatment. In order to maximize the removal of sand from the oil and water streams, a tubular desander of the same size is installed at each outlet of the low pressure separator. The desander acts as a fixed-size orifice that maintains normal pressure at a fixed flow rate. The desilter has a circuit that guarantees continuity of production.
